ESA defines Clean Technologies as:
“Technologies that contribute to the reduction of the environmental impact of space programmes, both within Earth’s environment (Green technologies) and in Space (Space Debris), taking into account the overall life-cycle from development to disposal and the management of residual waste and pollution resulting from space activities.”
