What is the main objective of Clean Space?

Clean Space aims at guaranteeing the future of space activities by protecting the environment, by minimising the impacts on Earth and space. ESA, with its Clean Space Initiative, will devote increasing attention to the environmental and safety impact of its activities, including its own operations as well as operations performed by European industry in the frame of ESA programmes, through the implementation of specific technology roadmaps.
