Paolo Nespoli VITA Mission Launch LIVE

ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli will fly for the third time to the International Space Station this 28 July on a Soyuz capsule with crewmates Russian cosmonaut Sergei Ryazansky and US astronaut Randy Bresnik.

His mission, called VITA, is part of a barter agreement between NASA and Italy’s ASI space agency involving ESA astronauts.

Lift of is scheduled at 15h41 GMT / 21h41 Baikonur Time

and assuming a 4 orbit rendez-vous with ISS :

Docking to ISS is scheduled at 22h03 GMT (28 July) /04h03 Baikonur Time (29 July)

Hatch Opening at 00h00 GMT (28 July) / 06h00 Baikonur Time (29 July)

Live Transmission times (GMT) as follows:

28 July:

Launch : 1445-1630 GMT (test signal up at 1415GMT). It will include B-roll feeds of crew arrival and preparation in Baikonur and of the launch-day activities with crew suit-up, walk-out and last wave as they board the launcher.

Docking: 2115-2210 GMT

Hatch-opening/welcome ceremony: 2300-0010 GMT
