In brief
Updated: 6 May 2025
Register for the CSG (Europe's Spaceport) Industry Days event to be held on 3 and 4 June and watch this page for further details closer to the event.
ESA in collaboration with France’s CNES space agency invite space and non-space companies from ESA Member States to support the continued digital modernisation and extraordinary maintenance opportunities at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. Current plans and considerations regarding the programme proposal for Europe’s Spaceport which will be presented at the upcoming ESA Council Meeting at Ministerial Level (CM25) in November will also be presented.
In-depth
Europe’s Spaceport, also known as the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), with its Ariane 6 and Vega-C launch vehicles is central to Europe’s autonomous, guaranteed and available access to space. It is therefore key to ensure that the CSG Range is operational with state-of-the-art facilities, assets, and resources to support ESA missions and ensure their success while meeting societal needs, like environmental sustainability.
On 3 and 4 June, ESA in collaboration with CNES will be hosting a hybrid in-person and online event to present upcoming activities at the Spaceport. The in-person event will be hosted by ESA’s Directorate of Space Transportation at ESA Headquarters at 52 Rue Jacques Hillairet, 75012 Paris, France (here) from 9:00–18:00 CEST on both days.
The main themes of these opportunities will be investments such as the digital transformation, as well as extraordinary maintenance operations of the CSG Range. Some of the subjects that are expected to be covered are: project management support; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Digitalisation of operational bypass file (DIO); SMART-GRID (HTA network upgrading; Battery Energy Storage System; Scheduler; Electrical control room); Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and the STAR45 antenna renewal.
Further to the informative nature of the event, there will be a businesss-to-business element where both online and in-person attendees will be able to connect with each other.
There will also be the opportunity to benefit from a CNES procurement Q&A session.
Those interested can now register to join either the in-person or online event. By registering you will also be informed when the event’s business-to-business collaboration platform is online and ready to use.
