For the second installment of the Members' Happy Hour, the ECSL had the honour of welcoming Tim Flohrer from ESA's Space Debris Office. The Space Debris Office coordinates ESA's research activities in all major debris disciplines. These include measurements, modelling, protection, and mitigation. It also coordinates such activities with national research efforts with space agencies.

Showcasing the technical aspects of space debris mitigation and remediation allowed the ECSL members, consisting of students, lawyers, academics and other professionals alike, to ponder on the need for space debris mitigation and regulation measures and the capacity of different actors and operators to conduct such measures.

The next edition is expected to be held during the Summer months of 2022. For information on past or future ECSL Happy Hours, click here.
