VOTING INSTRUCTIONS

Paris, 11 April 2005

According to the procedure indicated in the letter to all ECSL Members dated 17/01/05, the ECSL Secretariat has received 10 candidatures for the elections of the Board for the 2005-2007 term.

The Board will have 10 members in total, with nine Members to be elected and with the ESA Representative nominated by the ESA Director General (art. 1.1, art. 5.2, ECSL Charter).

You will find herewith enclosed the voting form where the 10 candidates are listed. You should choose the nine you wish to elect to the Board, by ticking their names (i.e. nine preferences) .

You are kindly invited to bear in mind that:

1. Only two people of the same nationality can be elected to the Board. We therefore suggest that you apply this principle when you cast your vote.

2. In the interest of ECSL, it is important to have a balanced representation, geographically as well as professionally speaking. The Board composition should represent various countries, as well as all the ECSL Members, in terms of both practitioners and academics.

The ECSL Secretariat must receive the voting forms before Friday, June 10th, 2005. The votes received after that date will not be counted.

Please make sure you that have paid the membership fees for the year 2005, which is a necessary condition to be entitled to vote. Those of you who have not yet done so can still send the payment along with the vote.

For update information on the elections and to read the candidates’ CVs, go to the “Elections” section of the ECSL website (http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/ECSL/)

Best regards,

ECSL Secretariat
