Save the date: ESA ESRIN Open Day, 26 September 2025
On 26 September 2025, ESA ESRIN will hold its annual Open Day. Under the theme 'Elevating the future of Europe', this year’s open day celebrates half a century of European space achievements, offering a rare opportunity to step inside the European Space Agency’s centre for Earth Observation programmes, located in Italy.
The event coincides with the European Researchers’ Night promoted by the European Commission, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of scientific research and space missions.
An exciting lineup of activities
Visitors will be able to enjoy talks and presentations on ESA’s Earth and space missions, interactive quizzes and inspiring discussions with experts, and educational workshops designed especially for children. The programme also includes guided mini-tours of ESA ESRIN’s Earth Observation Multimedia Centre, stargazing with professional telescopes from the Uliveto terrace, exciting model rocket launches, and the chance to shop for exclusive space-themed merchandise at the ESA Space Shop.
How to register
Registration opens in September through an online form. Visitors can book one of two time slots: 16:30–19:30 or 20:15–23:15. More details will be published on ESRIN Open Day page later in summer.
