Save the Date: ESA at the International Astronautical Congress
The European Space Agency will exhibit at the 76th edition of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Sydney, Australia from 29 September to 3 October 2025.
Organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the Congress is a yearly event gathering the world’s space community. For this edition, IAC 2025 will take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in collaboration with the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA), the Australian Space Agency, and the Government of New South Wales. Under the theme of 'Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth', the 2025 edition will bring together over 8000 participants from all over the world.
ESA will participate in the high-level institutional events and the technical programme of the Congress, and will have a stand of about 100m2 at the exhibition, that will highlight our vision for the future with the theme of 'European Space Agency: Elevating the Future of Europe'. The exhibition and related events will showcase ESA’s latest mission results and future ambitions around the five goals of ESA's Strategy 2040:
- Protect Our Planet and Climate
- Explore and Discover
- Strengthen European Autonomy and Resilience
- Boost European Growth and Competitiveness
- Inspire Europe
ESA’s presence at IAC 2025 reflects the importance of cooperating globally and diversifying partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region.

The IAC programme includes the traditional opening ceremony, sessions with Heads of Agencies, technical sessions, and social events. Visitors can meet ESA specialists at Booth 671.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 3 October 2025 from 10:00 to 17:00 AEST, offering a unique opportunity for students, families, and space enthusiasts to meet ESA experts and discover more about the agency’s missions.
