ESA’s next long-term ISS mission has a name: OasISS   ESA astronaut Frank De Winne (right) trains together with Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko (centre) and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Robert Thirsk (left) in the Soyuz simulator at Star City, near Moscow. They are set for launch to the International Space Station in May 2009 where they will join the Expedition 20 crew, increasing the number of permanent ISS residents from three to six for the first time. De Winne will remain on board the ISS for six months.   28 November 2008 - Backdropped by a cloud-covered part of Earth, the International Space Station is seen from Space Shuttle Endeavour as the two spacecraft begin their relative separation. Earlier the STS-126 and Expedition 18 crews concluded 11 days, 16 hours and 46 minutes of cooperative work on the Shuttle and Station.   A view of the European Columbus laboratory installed in its new home on the International Space Station.
