With the covid-19 outbreak, and in order to ensure continuity in ECSL activities, 2020 Board meetings were held on line.

The ECSL Board is composed of 10 persons elected by members of the ECSL for a period of three years.

The Board's functions are, inter alia, to oversee and assist in the running of the Centre, to propose themes for research and workshops, to select among applicants for the award of grants offered by the members and ESA, and to take other steps necessary to achieve the aims of the Centre as set out in Article 2 of the ECSL Charter.

Under regular circumstances, the Board meets twice a year at ESA headquarters or at any other place as decided by the Board. This year however, and in the context of the covid-19 outbreak, the Board has decided to meet more often in an online format, so as to ensure continuous and up-to-date continuity of activities proposed by the ECSL to the space community.

This very flexible approach has allowed to shift some of ECSL flagship activities to an online format (Young Lawyer’s Symposium, European Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court), but also to allow the organisation of new online events (ECSL Summer Webinars, World Rounds of the MLMC, and more to come...).

During the last Board meeting held late October 2020, ECSL future activities have been decided upon and will be announced shortly, so keep an eye open !
