The RCW120 observations are part of HOBYS, the "Herschel imaging survey of OB Young Stellar objects" programme led by Frédérique Motte, SAp/CEA, Saclay, France.

The ‘fourth phase of water’ observations have been conducted within the frame of WISH, the “Water In Star-forming regions with Herschel” programme led by Ewine van Dishoeck, Sterrenwacht Leiden, The Netherlands.

The survey of star-forming regions in the Milky Way is called Hi-GAL, the Herschel Infrared Galactic Plane survey. Hi-GAL is led by Sergio Molinari, Istituto di Fisica dello Spazio Interplanetario, Roma, Italy.

The survey of galaxies is called ATLAS, the Astrophysical Terahertz Large Area Survey. ATLAS is led by Steve Eales, Cardiff University, UK and Loretta Dunne, Nottingham University, UK.

Herschel is an ESA space observatory with science instruments provided by European-led Principal Investigator consortia and with important participation from NASA.
