The Young Professionals Satellite (YPSat) programme is an ESA initiative entirely conceived, led, and developed by Young Professionals across the Agency. Working on a voluntary basis and across all ESA establishments, disciplines, and Directorates, participants come together to design, build, and fly hardware for space.
Each YPSat mission is independently proposed and carried out by a new cohort of Young Professionals, gaining hands-on experience in real mission development, from design and integration to testing and launch.
YPSat-2 is a project supported by the ESA Education Office. It embraces cross-disciplinary collaboration, mentorship and a 'let's do it' mindset reflecting the optimistic and risk-taking spirit Europe needs today. Beyond advancing science, the aim to inspire future generations strengthening Europe's space community and empowering its next generation of space professionals.
