ESA title

The Young Professionals Satellite (YPSat) programme is an ESA initiative entirely conceived, led, and developed by Young Professionals across the Agency. Working on a voluntary basis and across all ESA establishments, disciplines, and Directorates, participants come together to design, build, and fly hardware for space.

Structured to support a growing family of missions, YPSat is a modular and evolving initiative, welcoming new ideas and teams with each generation.

Each YPSat mission is independently proposed and carried out by a new cohort of Young Professionals, gaining hands-on experience in real mission development, from design and integration to testing and launch. The programme fosters technical growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation, while offering opportunities to engage with external partners and contribute meaningfully to ESA’s activities.
