Integral disproves dark matter origin for mystery radiation
 
22 July 2009   A team of researchers working with data from ESA’s Integral gamma-ray observatory has disproved theories that some form of dark matter explains mysterious radiation in the Milky Way.

Giant eruption reveals 'dead' star
 
16 June 2009   An enormous eruption has found its way to Earth after travelling for many thousands of years across space. Studying this blast with ESA’s XMM-Newton and Integral space observatories, astronomers have discovered a dead star belonging to a rare group: the magnetars.
Be an Integral astronomer - competition
 
20 April 2009   To mark the International Year of Astronomy, ESA is launching a special competition for secondary school students and undergraduates. Participants will use data obtained by the Integral space observatory to investigate objects in one of the most active regions of our Galaxy.
