Supporting teachers

One of the major challenges facing ESA is to meet the very diverse educational needs of all our Member States. Supporting European teachers is a complex task, given the different national educational systems and languages.
The European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) project is ESA's primary way to support the educational community.

Inspirational science teaching is the key to Europe’s future as a leader in space. At a time when teachers have to deal with many different demands and some science teachers are not always familiar with the European space programme, ESA offers assistance in various ways. Through the introduction of national resource offices (ESERO) in various Member States, teachers are able to access specially developed materials that are tailored to their needs and to attend dedicated training workshops. A number of lesson plans, fact sheets and comprehensive education kits are also available online.
