Go to topicMamagoose baby pyjamas, developed by a Belgium company and University of Brussels (ULB), have built-in sensors and an electronic monitoring unit to detect Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), commonly known as cot death. The pyjamas include a small computer to process and collect data. When a symptom that characterises SIDS is identified an alarm is given. Paediatricians can use the stored Mamagoose data to examine the risk of SIDS. Data can also be transmitted to ULB for further research by ULB who use the data to further improve the pyjamas.
