There are two streams by which activities reach inclusion in the GSTP Element 1 work plan.
On the left is how two thirds of activities are heard about. These ad-hoc activities can include any follow on activities or continuations from other ESA programmes such as TDE, or can be brought to GSTP as targeted proposals with clear applications.
On the right is the path of activities from the GSTP Compendia. The GSTP E1 compendia is a compilation of activity proposals that are considered top priority for ESA, with the aim to trigger discussions among industry and Participating States. These proposals are evaluated and selected by senior ESA representatives of the technical and application domains.
Both cases, ad-hoc activities or Compendia activities, need to have interest from delegations first, before they can be considered for the work plan.
