Required documents

All speakers at the Space Engineering and Technology Final Presentation Days (SET-FPDs) are asked to provide the following documents:

  • Technology Achievement Template
  • Abstract
  • Biography
  • Final Presentation

Technology Achievement Template

The Technology Achievement Template (TAT) summarises the most important facts about the activity, i.e. objectives, main achievements, budget and year of completion. This TAT will be published in the event's App and will be accessible by other participants.

Abstract

A short abstract explaining the main objectives and achievements of the project is requested from the speaker during the registration process. The abstract will be published in the event's App and will be accessible by other participants.

Biography

During the registration process, speakers will be asked for a short biography which will be published in the event's App and will be accessible by other participants.

Final Presentation

The presentation is meant to disseminate technology development results and illustrate the main achievements, as well as future developments/use cases resulting from the activity.

Please find hereafter the defined boundary conditions:

  • Please use the common cover slide that will be distributed to the speakers by the ESA Technical Officer of the activity
  • Please keep strictly to the 15 minute time limit
  • Combined Questions & Answers (Q&A) slots follow every 3-4 presentations
  • Please target your presentation towards a non-expert audience:
    • Introduce the high-level concept (no more than ~50 words on slide)
    • Avoid technical details, jargon and acronyms
    • Use of images and videos (within timeframe) are encouraged
  • Please use the content guideline and stick to the following timeline for your presentation:
    • Introduction (3 minutes)
    • Activity description (8 minutes)
    • ESA involvement (3 minutes)
    • Your company/institution (1 minute)
  • The presentations will be shared publicly after the SET-FPDs so refrain from using confidential information and please credit all images

 

Please consider:
ESA intends to publish video recordings of the presentations given at the workshop on this externally accessible website. By registering for and participating in the workshop, presenters are deemed to agree with that video publication and are requested to clear all material presented at the workshop, before submission, of any content which may prevent it from being published on the Shaping the Future website. ESA will mention that the video and presentations shown therein are copyright protected.
