On 11 April, ESA is offering a one-day training course on "Rate Calculation" aimed at Financial Managers and Project Controllers of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises wanting to work with ESA.

Participants will learn how to calculate hourly rates and overheads in line with ESA guidelines. In addition, attendees can learn how rates are linked to and used in PSS forms which companies must complete in order to participate in an ESA Invitation to Tender (ITT).

The second part of the course is based on hands-on exercises. Participants are expected to calculate hourly rates and overheads based on the financial and time-related information provided on the course. At the end of the training session the results are shown, enabling attendees to see if they have correctly calculated the hourly rates and overheads.

The course will be given by ESA's Industrial Auditing and Return Division.

Registration for this course is now open. To apply, participants are invited to send an email to sme-office@esa.int by Tuesday 15 February, mentioning their company name, ESA entity code (if available), name(s) of the participants who wish to attend as well as their job titles. Two persons per SME can be admitted on the course.

Applicants will be informed by Friday, 22 February 2019 at the latest if they have been selected to attend.

For further information, dates and status of this course and other training organised and supported by the SME Office, take a look at the Training calendar on the SME Training page.
