How to get to ESA Open Day at ESTEC 2024

Getting to ESA ESTEC on Sunday 6 October is easy. From Leiden Central Station to ESA ESTEC is only 25 minutes by bus. Bus number 430 stops at the corner of Zarteweg and Keplerlaan, which will be dedicated for the ESA Open Day at ESTEC 2024.

There are an extra buses, (number 430), per hour throughout the day. Alternatively, you could take bus number 385 from The Hague Central, which stops at the 'Schorpioen' bus stop. To get from this bus stops to ESTEC is only a five minute walk.

You can plan your trip to the ESA Open Day at ESTEC by clicking on 9292.nl. Fill in your departure address, the date (Sunday 6 October) and your preferred time of departure/arrival. You will immediately receive public transport travel advice from door to door. You will also see an estimate of cost.

Travelling by car and parking

This year, there is one parking area available for the Open Day on 6 October 2024. This is located at the Eijsingastraat, across from the buildings of DECOS and ATG. Parking Wardens from ATC Noordwijk, will guide you here. At the t-junction of the Eijsingastraat/Huygensstraat, buses will bring you to the Keplerlaan. Of course, you can also enjoy a walk towards Keplerlaan and the entrance of ESA ESTEC.

Kiss&Ride:

If you are being brought by somebody (family or taxi), please give them the link from above. On the corner, a Kiss&Ride spot is available. From here you can walk or take a (free) Brouwer shuttle bus towards Keplerlaan.

Routes:

1. From Rotterdam
At junction Ypenburg follow A4/E19 to Amsterdam. Take the E19 towards Leidschendam/Den Haag-Leidschenveen/Amsterdam/A4/N14.
Take the A4/E19 until exit 8- Leidschendam towardsN14 (Leidschendam/Wassenaar/Den Haag/Leidschenveen).
Follow Den Haag/Leidschenveen/N14/Wassenaar/Voorburg. Turn right (Zijdeweg), and then right to the Leidsestraatweg.
Keep left and follow the N44 (Wassenaar/Leiden/Amsterdam/Duinrell).
Take the A44 towards Amsterdam/Leiden/Katwijk. Do NOT take exit 8; Leiden towards N206 Leiden/Valkenburg/Katwijk/Noordwijk; this weekend part of the N206 at Katwijk will be blocked for roadworks.
Instead, take exit7 and turn left towards Rijnsburg. At the second roundabout, turn right towards Brouwerstraat/N449 and at the end follow the signs ‘Open Dag ESTEC'.
As an alternative you could take junction 6 towards Noordwijk/Oegstgeest-Noord. Turn left towards Leidsevaart N444 and at the end take the junction towards N206.
Follow the N206, take the route going towards Rijnsburg.
At the roundabout go straight to ’s-Gravendijkseweg.
Here, parking wardens of ATC will guide you.

2. From Utrecht
Take A12/E25 ring Utrecht/Den Haag.
Take the A12 towards Amsterdam/’s Hertogenbosch/Rotterdam/Den Haag /Ring Utrecht.
Keep right and follow the road signs for the A2 towards Amsterdam. Keep left and follow Amsterdam A2/E35.
Enter the Ring Utrecht/A2/E35.
Take the A9 towards Amstelveen/Haarlem/Luchthaven Schiphol. At the junction Badhoevedorp towards E19/A4 keep going to Den Haag/Schiphol until junction Burgerveen. Here, follow the signs A44 to Den Haag-Centrum/Leiden West/Sassenheim.
Take exit 6 towards Noordwijk/Oegstgeest-Noord. Turn right to Leidsevaart N444 till the end and follow the signs N206.
Follow the N206 and take exit Rijnsburg. At the roundabout follow the signs 'Open Dag ESTEC'.

3. From (centrum) Den Haag
Take A44 Amsterdam/Leiden/Katwijk.
Take exit 7 or 6 (see 1. from Rotterdam).

4. From Amsterdam
At junction De Nieuwe Meer, follow the E19/A4 towards Luchthaven Schiphol/Amstelveen/Den Haag.
Keep right and take the A44 Den Haag-Centrum/Leiden-West/Sassenheim.
Follow the A44 untill exit 6-Voorhout/Noordwijk/Oegstgeest-Noord. Turn right to the Leidsevaart/N444. Keep going and take exit N206, towards Rijnsburg. Follow the N206 and take exit Rijnsburg. At the roundabout follow the signs 'Open Dag ESTEC.

Attention!

Parking at the industrial area is restricted. Traffic Wardens from ATC-Noordwijk will give instructions on where cars can and cannot be parked. Instructions by them must be followed (legal obligation). If necessary, they will refer you to another parking area.
