TIGER workshop

The TIGER workshop 2016 - "Looking after Water for Sustainable Development" will take place the 1st-2nd February 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hosted by UNECA.

Following a long tradition of TIGER workshops - most recently in Tunisia (2013) and South Africa (2011) - the aim is to bring the African community for water resources management and Earth Observation together. The launch of the Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 missions, the publication of the open-source Water Observation Information System and, most recently, the approval of the 6th Sustainable Development Goal for Water and Sanitation are all important news for the TIGER community, which will be shared and discussed.
